I have been performing as Helena Wiig as a member of Oor Hoose since their first show in November 2022. Since then I've really stepped out my box (if you know you know) and even built up to hosting Oor Haunted Hoose at Halloween. Another significant Oor Hoose moment would definitely be the performance at Hoose Doon the Dome at the Doonhame Festival in Dumfries. All of these Hoose shows have helped shape Helena, not just because I've bought a corset since the first show, but the opportunities and support to build on performance skills, as well as a real feeling of a drag community in Dumfries.
